Situated in the heart of Mumbai, this high-floor duplex for a young family blends contemporary elegance with the whimsy of daily life and travel much like their renowned fashion label. Perched on the 45th floor with sweeping sea views through the city skyline, the home draws inspiration from the seashore. A simple material and colour palette evokes a refined coastal vibe, while handcrafted, quirky furniture pieces feel like rare treasures discovered over time.

The lower floor features a distinctive layout, balancing enclosed spaces with a triple-height terrace that seamlessly integrates indoors and outdoors. Curves soften the spatial rigidity, introducing fluidity and movement throughout. Arched openings and sculpted wall-to-ceiling junctions lend harmony and a refined, sculptural quality.

With toddlers and a pet in mind, carpets were avoided. Instead, an in-situ cast terrazzo floor flows from the staircase through the living area and out onto the terrace, visually expanding and unifying the floor plate. Upstairs, a multipurpose space accommodates work, leisure, and occasional guests. The master bedroom reflects fluidity and fashion sensibility, highlighted by a symmetrical arched bed-back inspired by Indian heritage art. In the children’s bedroom, a raised platform defines a playful bed-cum-activity zone. Thoughtfully detailed throughout, the residence interweaves active and restful spaces, creating a serene retreat within the vibrant energy of Mumbai.
